Frequently Asked Questions about Furnished Abodes

1. What are the advantages of staying with Furnished Abodes rather than a hotel?
Here are at Furnished Abodes we pride ourselves in being an economic alternative to hotels. On average our rates are 40% less than a premier hotel. Our properties provide you with a more spacious and private environment, along with a fully equipped kitchen allowing for cooking and entertaining.

2. What is included in the property rent?
All rentals include utilities, basic cable and wireless internet service.

3. What are the properties equipped with?
A full list of the items can be viewed on the Amenities page.

4. Are there laundry facilities?
Yes, there are laundry facilities. Some are located in the units and others within the building.

5. What time is check-in/out?
Check-in time is 3 PM and checkout time is 10 AM. Special arrangements may be made, but not guaranteed.

6. What are the check-in procedures?
Check-in procedures vary according to the property and information will be provided prior to your arrival.

7. What other services do you offer?
Daily and weekly housekeeping services are available for an additional charge.

8. Are pets allowed?
In most cases, pets are not allowed. However, in some of our properties pets can be accommodated. Arrangements need to be made at time of booking and there will be an additional $50.00 non-refundable pet cleaning fee.

9. Do you charge taxes?
Bookings that are less than 31 days may be subject to NYS and County Sales & Occupancy Taxes.

10. Do you require a security deposit?
Yes, there is a $250.00 minimum security deposit required within seven (7) business days prior to arrival. Security deposits are returned provided that there are no damages to the property beyond normal wear and tear.

11. What other charges are there when making a reservation?
There is a $25.00 processing fee on all reservations. There is also a one-time, non-refundable cleaning fee that ranges from $75.00 - $150.00 depending upon the property.

12. What are accepted forms of payment?
We accept most major credit cards, certified checks, and wire transfers. There is a 3.5% service fee on all credit card transactions and wire transfers.
